"Thank you for nurturing, supporting, educating and much more. My daughter has had a wonderful time at Whizz Kids and had the foundation set."

"The effort you go to is so visible in the events you organise and the everyday activities you do. Mostly, it is watching the children run into nursery that shows what a wonderful job you are doing."

Parent

"I am so happy that my son is a confident chatty boy and I know that all the love and attention you gave him has contributed to this. Whizz Kids is a lovely setting and my son has flourished here."

Sick Children Policy

Our main concern is always the welfare of the children in our care.

If we feel that your child is not well enough to participate fully in the Nursery day you will be contacted to collect your child.  This judgement will be based upon your individual child’s “normal” behaviour or more obvious signs of sickness or of a temperature.  We will always contact you as a cautionary measure and for the welfare of your child.

In the event of a child feeling sick whilst on the nursery premises, the following action will be followed:

  1. Child’s key worker will be notified that child is unwell.
  2. The key worker will comfort the child in our quiet area (“green room”) downstairs or the “blue room” upstairs.
  3. Gill Liu or another senior member of staff will call parents of child and arrange their collection of child. If parents cannot be contacted, emergency contacts will be phoned. (all telephone numbers are recorded in the class registers and in the registration file stored safely in the office)
  4. The key worker will stay with the child until their parent arrives. The key worker will continue to monitor the child’s condition.

In the event of a serious deterioration in the child’s condition, the emergency services would be contacted, and the necessary First Aid procedures would be administered by trained members of staff.
