Risk Assessment Policy for Drugs and Alcohol abuse whilst on Whizz Kids premises
We will have heightened observations of any member of Staff, student, carers and parents who show any signs of drug misuse whilst on Whizz Kids premises.
We will also as per our Drugs & Alcohol Policy implement the 6 steps procedure and also keep a record and observations of any sings of drug and alcohol misuse.
We will take appropriate action as laid out in our policy and procedures.
We are aware that all the signs mentioned may be caused by other factors, such as stress e.t.c. and should be regarded only as indications that an employee may be misusing drugs.

DRUG MISUSE AT WORK a guide for employers
Signs of drug misuse which you might look for include:
- sudden mood changes;
- unusual irritability or aggression;
- a tendency to become confused;
- abnormal fluctuations in concentration and energy;
- impaired job performance;
- poor time-keeping;
- increased short-term sickness absence;
- a deterioration in relationships with colleagues, parents or management;
- dishonesty and theft (arising from the need to maintain an expensive habit).
